About the Rochdale Invitational Tournament
Administrators’ Message
Is it that time of year again!?! As students and teachers begin their new semester – many teachers, athletes, coaches and volunteers are getting ready to put on the biggest event of the year on Rochdale Blvd! That’s right, the 15th Annual R.I.T starts this weekend February 2-4th, and it’s going to be a blast! There are many generous sponsors and contributors that have worked hard with countless volunteers to get ready for and host eighteen teams from across the prairie provinces. We are looking forward to some intense basketball, new friends, memories and countless fun times. Come out to Winston Knoll Collegiate and M.A. Riffel Highschool and we are confident that you will have a great time with opportunity to enjoy some amazing matches and have your chance to win as well! We extend huge thanks to the entire organizing committee, which is led fearlessly by Ms. Jolene Sentes and Mr. John Bolen!

SRC Presidents’ Message
Welcome everyone to the 15th Annual Rochdale Invitational Tournament! My name is Todd Malagride and on behalf of the student council
here at Winston Knoll Collegiate and our partners for this event, M.A. Riffel High School I’d like to thank you all for participating in this
year’s R.I.T. I, myself, have had the opportunity to play in this tournament and I know what a fantastic time it is! R.I.T. is one of the
largest basketball tournaments in all of Western Canada and a showcase of the talent that exists at a Junior Level throughout our
prairie provinces.
There are so many teachers, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, officials and fearless leaders that put in countless hours to make this a
top notch event. I would like to thank you in advance for all your hard work and efforts leading up and throughout the event. Hopefully
everyone will have a good experience! One that is filled with positive attitudes, good sportsmanship, skill improvement, and fun. It is
truly an honour to have all of you here, so good luck everyone and enjoy yourself.
